The central idea is that by reducing barriers to production and investment, the economy will grow more efficiently. These policies often focus on the producer or supplier side of the economy rather than the consumer or demand side.

Key measures within försörjningspolitik typically include tax cuts, particularly for corporations and high-income earners, with the argument that this encourages investment and job creation. Deregulation is another common element, seeking to reduce the burden of government rules on businesses, thereby lowering costs and promoting innovation.
