frontallapperne
Frontallapperne, the frontal lobes, are the paired anterior regions of the cerebrum located behind the forehead. They extend from the central sulcus to the frontal pole and are bounded superiorly by the lateral fissures. The lobes comprise several functional zones, including the primary motor cortex in the precentral gyrus, the premotor cortex and supplementary motor area, the frontal eye fields, and the prefrontal cortex. The prefrontal cortex is further divided into regions such as the dorsolateral, ventromedial, and orbitofrontal areas, each contributing to different aspects of cognition, emotion, and behavior.
Functions spanning the frontallapperne are diverse. The primary motor cortex controls voluntary movements of the opposite
Clinical relevance emerges with lesions or disruption to these areas. Frontal lobe damage can cause changes
