Fly-by-wire (FBW) is a system used in modern aircraft that replaces traditional manual flight controls with electronic ones. The pilot's commands are sent from the flight control sticks or yokes to computers. One of the primary advantages of fly-by-wire is its ability to enhance flight safety and performance. The computer system can prevent the pilot from exceeding the aircraft's structural limits or entering unsafe flight regimes, a function known as control law protection. This automation can significantly reduce pilot workload, especially during complex maneuvers or in challenging weather conditions.
