Familiarizing is the process of becoming acquainted with a person, place, task, or concept to the point where it is understood and can be navigated with some fluency. While it can refer to everyday learning, familiarizing is often used in education, workplace training, product development, and research to describe how individuals or teams move from initial exposure to reliable familiarity. It is the preparatory stage before deeper mastery.
