Exteriér (genitive exteriéru) is a term used in Czech to denote the exterior or outer appearance of an object, most commonly a building or a vehicle. It contrasts with interior (interiér) and concerns the visible external face and structure, environmental interaction, and care of the outer surfaces.

In architecture, exteriér refers to the building envelope and its appearance, including the façade, roofline, openings, and exterior stairs. Design goals include aesthetic expression, harmony with context, durability, and performance against weather. Common materials are brick, stone, plaster, metal, and glass; color, texture, and detailing influence perception, while daylighting and energy performance affect function.

In automotive design, exteriér covers the body, paint, trim, wheels, lighting, and aerodynamics. The exterior design communicates brand identity, affects aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, and must balance durability with repairability and safety.

In planning and heritage contexts, the exteriér also relates to streetscape, landscaping, and how a building reads from distance. Maintenance concerns include cleaning, repainting, sealing, and preservation of historical façades.
