ekspansjonær

Ekspansjonær is a Norwegian term used to describe a person or actor who seeks or advocates expansion, especially territorial or political expansion by a state, regime, or organization. As an adjective, it characterizes policies or tendencies aimed at extending influence, borders, or control.

In political science and history, ekspansjonær is used to label actors or ideologies that wish to extend their realm or power, often through conquest, annexation, coercive diplomacy, or other forms of pressure. The term is commonly applied to imperial or militarily expansionist regimes, particularly in the 19th and 20th centuries, but can also describe contemporary actors with expansionist ambitions or rhetoric.
