Drapeilla is a term used in textile arts and fashion to describe a specific approach to fabric draping and the resulting silhouette. It denotes both the technique of arranging fabric into elongated, fluid folds and the fabric chosen to achieve a high degree of drape.

The term is a neologism from the early 21st century, combining "drape" with the diminutive suffix -illa. It reflects a focus on refined, controlled draping rather than simple folds.

Drapeilla emphasizes continuous, sinuous folds that cascade along the body's contours or a static form. Materials typically used include silk, satin, crepe georgette, and lightweight viscose, chosen for their ability to form soft, flowing lines and to hold a crafted silhouette when pinned or tacked.

Construction on a dress form involves pinning fabric at strategic points such as the shoulders, waist, and hip, then allowing folds to settle naturally. Bias-cutting and careful tacking are common to stabilize the final shape without restricting the drape.
