coltellino

Coltellino is the diminutive form of coltello, Italian for knife, and refers to a small, portable knife, typically a pocket knife with a folding blade. In Italian usage, the term also covers the Swiss Army knife, commonly called coltellino svizzero, a multi-tool pocket knife.

Most coltellini are designed as folding knives. A single blade is common, though many models include additional tools such as a small bottle opener, screwdriver, or nail cleaner. Some examples come with multiple blades or tools and are collectively known as coltellini svizzeri or multTool.
