In information technology, clientgrade is an informal term used to describe hardware, software, or services intended for use by end users or client applications, rather than for deployment on servers or in data-center infrastructure. The term conveys a classification that sits between consumer products and enterprise- or data-center grade offerings. There is no formal standard or certification universally recognized as 'clientgrade.'

In procurement and IT planning, clientgrade usually refers to consumer- or prosumer-grade devices and software adopted for client-facing tasks because of their lower cost, broad availability, and familiar user experience. Characteristics often associated with clientgrade include shorter support lifecycles, limited warranty terms, and less emphasis on features required for mission-critical systems, such as redundant components or advanced security hardening.

End-user devices such as laptops, desktops, smartphones, and peripherals bought for employee use are commonly described as clientgrade when they are off-the-shelf products aimed at general consumers or small businesses, rather than purpose-built enterprise hardware. Similarly, clientgrade software may refer to consumer or lightweight business applications that do not require the scale or security controls of enterprise software.

Critics argue that labeling something clientgrade can obscure underlying risks, including shorter update cycles, inconsistent support, and potential compatibility risks in regulated environments. Proponents emphasize cost savings, faster procurement, ease of replacement, and the ability to leverage mass-market innovations.
