Civicsuddannelse, a term used in Denmark to describe the education of citizens, refers to instruction aimed at developing knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary for participating in political and public life. More generally, civics education encompasses the portion of the school curriculum dedicated to preparing individuals to function as informed, responsible members of a democracy.
