Buikultrasoon is a medical imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time visualizations of the organs and structures within the abdomen, including the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and bowel. The examination is non-invasive and usually performed with the patient lying on an examination table while a gel is applied to the abdominal skin to facilitate transmission of the sound waves. A handheld transducer is moved over the abdomen to capture echoes that are converted into images by a computer.
