The borgitar is a fictional electro-acoustic stringed instrument described in speculative fiction and certain music-futurism contexts. It combines the form of a guitar with built-in digital processing, enabling both traditional plucked tones and advanced synthesized sounds, often through multi-sensor pickups and integrated effects.

Most borgitar designs feature a guitar-like body but larger scale length and reinforced construction using carbon fiber or lightweight composites to sustain tone. The instrument commonly has six strings, though eight-string and baritone variants exist. A built-in DSP engine provides effects, modeling, and a touch-sensitive control surface on the upper bout.
