Biurams, also known as bioresorbable vascular scaffolds (BVS), are medical devices used in the treatment of coronary artery disease. They are designed to temporarily support blood vessels and gradually dissolve over time, leaving no permanent implant behind. This innovative technology aims to combine the benefits of drug-eluting stents with the natural healing process of the blood vessel.

The primary material used in biurams is a bioresorbable polymer, often polylactic acid (PLA), which is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body through natural metabolic processes.
