bioimagingissa
Bioimagingissa is an international consortium and research community dedicated to advancing bioimaging—the capture and interpretation of biological information through imaging technologies. The term denotes both the field and the coordinating body that brings together researchers across biology, medicine, physics, computer science, and engineering. It covers optical modalities such as fluorescence and confocal microscopy, super-resolution techniques, and in vivo imaging; as well as non-optical modalities including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, positron emission tomography, and electron microscopy, together with associated computational methods for reconstruction, segmentation, quantification, and machine learning analysis.
The consortium coordinates standards for data formats, metadata, and reproducibility. It hosts regular conferences, summer schools,
It supports researchers worldwide; links basic discovery with translational and clinical research; influences industry by establishing
