Autóparks, also known as automated parking systems or robotic parking garages, are facilities designed to store vehicles with minimal or no human intervention. These systems utilize automated machinery, such as robotic arms, lifts, and conveyor belts, to move and position cars within a dense storage structure. The primary goal of an autóparks is to maximize the number of vehicles that can be stored in a given footprint, thereby reducing the land required for parking and potentially lowering construction costs compared to conventional multi-story garages.

Users typically drive their vehicles into a designated entry bay. Once the car is secured, the automated system takes over. The vehicle is then transported by robotic mechanisms to an available parking space, often stacked vertically or horizontally. Retrieving a vehicle involves a similar process in reverse, with the automated system locating and delivering the car back to the user at an exit bay.

Autóparks can be classified into different types based on their mechanical configurations, including tower systems, shuttle systems, and turntable systems. These systems are often seen as a solution to urban parking challenges, aiming to increase parking capacity, improve safety by removing drivers from the parking area, and reduce traffic congestion associated with searching for parking.
