Zubialdea is a municipality located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country, Spain. Situated in the northern part of the province, it lies within the traditional territory of Tolosaldea and borders the municipalities of Hernani, Usurbil, and Errenteria. The town is characterized by its rural landscape, with a mix of agricultural land, forests, and small villages. Zubialdea is known for its proximity to the coastal areas of the Basque Country, offering easy access to the beaches of the Bay of Biscay.

The history of Zubialdea dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlement in the region during the Iron Age.
