Zedd, born Anton Zaslavski on September 2, 1989, in Kaiserslautern, West Germany, is a German-Russian DJ, record producer, and songwriter known for his melodic approach to electronic dance music. He rose to prominence in the early 2010s and has since collaborated with a wide range of pop and EDM artists, helping to popularize dance music in mainstream charts.

Early life and music beginnings: Zaslavski, from a family with Russian and German roots, began playing drums at an early age and later learned piano and other instruments. He started making electronic music as a teenager and built a presence in the European club scene before breaking into the global market as a producer and performer.

Career: Zedd released his debut studio album, Clarity, in 2012, anchored by the title track featuring Foxes and includes the hit Spectrum with Matthew Koma. Clarity earned the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2014. He has continued to release high-profile collaborations across genres, including I Want You to Know with Selena Gomez, Stay with Alessia Cara, and The Middle with Maren Morris and Grey.
