Welsh Canadians are Canadians who trace their ancestry to Wales, a country of the United Kingdom, or individuals who migrated from Wales to Canada. The term encompasses both long-established families and recent immigrants who maintain a Welsh identity within Canada.

Welsh settlement in Canada began in the colonial era and expanded in the 19th and early 20th centuries, with migrants drawn by economic opportunities in mining, forestry, agriculture, and railway construction. Later waves continued after World War II and into the late 20th century.

Welsh-Canadian communities have appeared across the country, with historical concentrations in Ontario and the western provinces and smaller populations in the Atlantic provinces and British Columbia. Welsh heritage often integrated with broader English-speaking Canadian culture.

Culture and language are maintained through Welsh societies, churches, choirs, and cultural events, including celebrations of St David's Day. While English is dominant, some communities preserved Welsh-language traditions and place-names, especially in older settlements.

Today Welsh Canadians are generally considered part of Canada's British-descended or Celtic-Canadian heritage. Many identify primarily as Canadians with Welsh ancestry, while others retain active cultural ties through associations and Wales-related activities.

Welsh organizations, museums, and archives in various cities work to preserve and promote Welsh culture in Canada, contributing to the country's multicultural landscape.
