Weieiwitten are a fictional ethnic group and cultural designation found in speculative fiction and worldbuilding projects. The name is said to derive from a term meaning “people of the hills” in their own imagined language. They are described as inhabiting a mountainous region of the imagined continent of Aerathos, with settlements clustered along river valleys and high plateaus.

Their language, Weieiwittan, is described as an agglutinative tongue with limited vowel harmony, and it has a developed tradition of literate inscription in textile motifs and ceremonial objects. The community organizes itself around kin-based clans and a rotating council of elders; leadership tends to be by consensus and guided by ritual norms.

Historically, sources place their migrations in the early medieval period within the fictional chronicle, with later contact and exchange with neighboring groups creating networks for woven textiles, furs, and pottery. The cultural calendar centers on seasonal cycles, harvest rites, and a harvest festival known as the Niede.

Culture and society emphasize craft, especially weaving, embroidery, and dyeing, with distinctive geometric patterns. Both women and men participate in crafts, while elder women often serve as custodians of oral history and textile motifs. Religion in most depictions is animist or syncretic, with reverence for mountains, rivers, and ancestral spirits.
