WIGTIGSchweißen, also known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The process is characterized by the use of a shielding gas, typically argon or helium, to protect the weld pool from atmospheric contamination. A filler material can be added to the joint to form the weld bead, though in some applications, autogenous welding (without filler material) is employed.
The TIG welding process offers high-quality welds with excellent control over heat input and penetration. This
