Viitejännite, often translated as reference voltage, is a stable and precisely controlled voltage used as a benchmark in electronic circuits. It serves as a fundamental element in analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), voltage regulators, and comparators. The accuracy and stability of the reference voltage directly impact the performance of these circuits. For example, in an ADC, the reference voltage defines the full-scale range of the input signal that can be converted. A drift in the reference voltage would lead to inaccurate digital representations of the analog input.
