Vidhäftningsförekomst

Vidhäftningsförekomst, a Swedish term, translates to "adhesion occurrence" or "incidence of adhesion" in English. It refers to the phenomenon where tissues or organs in the body abnormally stick together. This adhesion can happen after surgery, as a result of inflammation or infection, or sometimes spontaneously. The formation of adhesions is a common biological response to tissue injury. When the body tries to repair damaged tissue, it can sometimes produce fibrous connective tissue that bridges gaps between structures that are not normally connected.

The consequences of vidhäftningsförekomst vary greatly. In some cases, adhesions may cause no symptoms and are discovered incidentally.
