Ulgo

Ulgo is a fictional kingdom in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. It is one of the lands of Rhovanion, located in the southeast of the region, bordering Mirkwood forest and the capital of Rhovanion, Trondpike. Ulgo is a mountainous region, with the Iron Hills to its east and the Lonely Mountain (Erebor) to its southeast.

The kingdom of Ulgo is often referred to as a kingdom of dwarves, although it is also inhabited by humans. The history of Ulgo is closely tied to the history of the Dwarven clans of the region. The kingdom is divided into several provinces, each with its own fonte of history and cultural significance. The Dwarves of the Iron Hills are known to have had a significant influence on the region, with many of their ancient artifacts and ruins still present in Ulgo.

Ulgo is also home to the Dwarven clans of the stone fortress of Trondrime. This ancient fortress is said to have been built by the Dwarves of Nogrod in the first age of Middle-earth. Trondrime is renowned for its impressive architecture, and its central role in the defense of the region against invading forces.

The realm of Ulgo has played a significant role in the events of Middle-earth, particularly during the Third Age. As a key region in the border between Rhovanion and Mirkwood, Ulgo has been involved in many battles and conflicts, with the kingdom changing hands several times throughout its history.
