UVvédelem
UVvédelem refers to measures and practices that reduce human exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun and artificial sources, in order to protect health and materials. The main UV bands are UVA (longer wavelength, penetrates deep into the skin) and UVB (shorter wavelength, more likely to cause sunburn and DNA damage); UVC is mostly blocked by the atmosphere but can be produced by certain artificial lamps. UVvédelem also encompasses strategies to limit UV-induced degradation in materials such as textiles, plastics, and artworks.
Exposure to UV radiation carries health risks. Short-term effects include sunburn and eye discomfort, while long-term
Protection methods include clothing and behavior, as well as products designed to filter UV. Practical measures
Regulatory standards often govern labeling, tested SPF values, and UVA coverage to aid consumers. UVvédelem is
