Täissageduskõlar, often referred to as a full-range speaker, is an audio transducer designed to reproduce the entire audible frequency range, typically from around 20 Hz to 20 kHz, within a single driver. This contrasts with multi-way speaker systems that utilize separate drivers for different frequency bands, such as tweeters for high frequencies, mid-range drivers for mid frequencies, and woofers for low frequencies.

The primary advantage of a full-range speaker is its simplicity. By using a single diaphragm to generate all sound, it eliminates the need for a crossover network, a complex electronic circuit that divides the audio signal into different frequency ranges for various drivers. This simplicity can lead to a more coherent sound reproduction, as there are no phase shifts or interactions between separate drivers. The absence of a crossover also means fewer components and potentially lower manufacturing costs.

However, achieving high-fidelity reproduction across the entire audible spectrum with a single driver presents significant engineering challenges. It is difficult for one driver to efficiently produce both deep bass frequencies and delicate high frequencies with equal accuracy and detail. Consequently, full-range speakers often involve trade-offs. They may excel in reproducing mid-range frequencies, where human hearing is most sensitive, but might compromise on the extreme low or high ends of the spectrum. Design considerations like cone material, suspension, magnet structure, and enclosure are crucial in optimizing the performance of a full-range speaker. Despite these challenges, well-designed full-range speakers can offer a natural and immersive listening experience, particularly in smaller listening spaces or for audiophiles who prioritize simplicity and driver coherence.
