Tulosarvo

Tulosarvo (literally "result value") is a Finnish term used in business, project management and decision analysis to quantify the value or impact of a specific result or outcome. It serves as a scalar measure intended to facilitate comparison between alternatives, prioritize actions, and track performance against objectives. Tulosarvo is not a fixed standard, but rather a contextual indicator that can combine quantitative metrics and qualitative judgments into a single value.

In practice, tulosarvo may be calculated or estimated in several ways. Common approaches include scoring models that assign weights to factors such as financial benefit, strategic alignment, risk reduction, and stakeholder impact; monetization when possible; or an expected-utility style calculation that multiplies impact by probability and discounting over time.
