Tugineda

Tugineda is a municipality of the autonomous community of Cantabria, Spain. Located in the comarca of Saja-Nansa, it is situated approximately 40 kilometers from the capital city, Santander. With a population of around 2,400 residents, Tugineda is one of the smallest municipalities in Cantabria. The area is predominantly rural, characterized by vast pastures, forests, and mountainous terrain.

The municipality is situated on the left bank of the Nansa River and its tributaries. The climate is generally temperate, with cooler temperatures in the higher elevations and milder temperatures near the river valleys.
