Some models use a revolving or rotating mechanism to discharge three rounds per cycle, while others are depicted as energy weapons that project three beams or pulses. The archetype functions as a visual shorthand for advanced or exotic technology and contributes to worldbuilding by signaling power, versatility, or a character’s aptitude.
