TopRight

Topright, often written as top-right, is a directional descriptor indicating the upper-right corner of a bounded two-dimensional space. The term is used across disciplines to describe location, alignment, or anchoring. In computing and programming, topRight may appear as an identifier or shorthand for the upper-right region in code, layouts, or coordinate calculations.

In geometry and mathematics, top right denotes the point with the maximum x and maximum y coordinates within a finite region. In a standard Cartesian plane with the origin at the bottom-left, the top-right corner of a rectangle is the point that would be reached by increasing both coordinates to their maximum values. In many computer graphics systems, however, the origin is at the top-left, so the top-right corner corresponds to the maximum x value with the minimum y value (often 0) in pixel coordinates.

In user interfaces, the top-right region frequently hosts window controls such as close, minimize, and maximize buttons on Windows systems; these controls are typically located on the right edge of the title bar. Design conventions vary by platform, and some environments place controls on the opposite side. The top-right area is also used for action menus, notifications, and status indicators in various applications.

In design and data visualization, top-right alignment appears in typography, labels, legends, and annotations. It is a common anchor point for placing information that should be visible without obstructing central content, particularly in dashboards, plots, and interface layouts.
