Toitepingest

Toitepingest is a term used in Estonian-language technical literature to describe the characteristics and behavior of a device’s power supply voltage, or toitepinge, during operation. It refers to how a power rail behaves under different loads, input conditions, and transient events, and to the degree to which the supply can keep the voltage within acceptable limits for a connected system.

Key concepts associated with toitepingest include nominal voltage, voltage tolerance, and regulation. Line regulation describes how the supply voltage changes with variations in input voltage, while load regulation concerns changes caused by different output currents. Ripple and noise quantify high-frequency fluctuations on the rail, and transient response describes how quickly the supply responds to sudden changes in load.
