Tekijäpäivystä
Tekijäpäivystä is an informal Finnish observance that celebrates the contributions of creative professionals, including writers, musicians, visual artists, and designers. Its name derives from the Finnish words tekijä (creator), päivä (day), and the suffix -ystä, which gives it a collective sense of belonging. The concept was first mentioned by the Finnish Authors' Guild in a 2010 internal memorandum as a way to recognise the ongoing work of its members in the public eye. It has since been adopted by a number of cultural organisations, though it remains unofficial and has no statutory authority.
