TeamCity

TeamCity is a cross-platform continuous integration and deployment server developed by JetBrains. It automates the process of building, testing, and deploying software by centralizing configuration, execution, and reporting of software builds.

In TeamCity, a server coordinates one or more build agents that execute build configurations. Projects organize build configurations, which can be triggered by changes in version control, on a schedule, or manually. Build configurations can declare dependencies on artifacts from other configurations, enabling build chains and pipelines that pass results from one step to the next.

Key features include broad version control system support (Git, Mercurial, Subversion, Perforce, TFS), multiple build runners (Maven, Gradle, MSBuild, npm, .NET, and more), and a Kotlin DSL and YAML-based configuration for reproducible builds. It provides test reporting, code coverage integration, artifacts publishing, and test metadata. It also offers pre-tested commits, build history and statistics, notifications, and an extensive plugin ecosystem accessed via a REST API.

Extensibility and deployment options are supported through a plugin architecture and a REST API, enabling custom integrations and automation. TeamCity can be deployed on-premises or in cloud environments, with support for remote or cloud-based build agents to scale workloads as needed.

Administration and licensing information includes an available free edition with limited capacity and commercial editions that provide higher scalability and additional features. Authentication and authorization are configurable, with built-in user management and support for external systems such as LDAP or Active Directory, along with project-level permissions and auditing.
