Tarbagatai
Tarbagatai is a mountain range located in the southern Siberian region of Russia, primarily within the Republic of Buryatia and a small portion in the Zabaykalsky Krai. The name Tarbagatai is derived from the Buryat word for "wild onions." The mountain range stretches for approximately 150 kilometers and reaches an average elevation of around 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level, with its highest peaks exceeding 2,500 meters. Geologically, Tarbagatai is part of the broader Sayan-Baikal fold system.
