Zabaykalsky

Zabaykalsky Krai, commonly referred to as Transbaikal Krai, is a federal subject of Russia located in the southeastern part of Siberia. It borders Mongolia to the south and is named for its position beyond the Transbaikal region. Its administrative center is the city of Chita. The krai was established in 2008 through the merger of Chita Oblast and the Agin-Buryat Autonomous Okrug, and it is part of the Siberian Federal District.
