Tahtiparametrit

Tahtiparametrit is a Finnish term used to describe a set of parameters that govern rhythm and timing in a system. The word combines tahti, meaning beat, tempo, or meter, with parametrit, meaning parameters. The exact meaning can vary by discipline, but in Finnish technical usage it is most often encountered in music technology and digital audio, where it denotes the values that shape rhythmic behavior.

In music technology, tahtiparametrit typically include tempo (beats per minute), meter (time signature), and swing or groove, as well as the subdivision of beats (e.g., eighth notes, sixteenths, triplets).
