Tévedhetetlenség

Tévedhetetlenség refers to the concept of infallibility, the quality of being incapable of making mistakes or being wrong. In various contexts, this term carries distinct meanings.

In theology, particularly within Roman Catholicism, tévedhetetlenség is a doctrine asserting that the Pope, when speaking ex cathedra on matters of faith and morals, is preserved from error by the Holy Spirit. This does not imply personal sinlessness but rather divine protection against doctrinal error in specific pronouncements.
