Strongpoint
Strongpoint (also written as strong point) is a term used to describe a location, asset, or concept that is notably resistant to adverse action and able to provide a secure advantage under pressure. In military and security contexts the strongpoint is a fortified or well-defended position that anchors a defensive line, controls key terrain, or supports a counterattack. Such positions may be reinforced with obstacles, firepower, observation and communication links, and reliable logistics to deter assault and sustain endurance during engagements. In urban warfare, a building, block, or street segment can function as a strongpoint, serving as a focal point for defense and a source of local stability.
