The name is designed to evoke a supposed mouth-like opening and a dwelling habit, combining the Greek stoma meaning mouth with a Latin-inspired suffix to sound like a fossil taxon. There are no real specimens or published holotypes associated with this genus; it exists solely as an educational example.

Taxonomy and species for Stomaseites are intentionally provisional. In the illustrative scenario, the genus is placed as incertae sedis within the Animalia, reflecting the common paleontological practice of describing new forms before definitive placement is resolved. Two hypothetical species are sometimes cited in teaching materials: Stomaseites orientalis and Stomaseites occidentalis. These names are used to demonstrate how species epithets convey distribution concepts, rather than to report actual discoveries.

Morphology in the example description portrays Stomaseites as a small, sessile organism with a cup- or cone-shaped calcitic test.
