Stentkonstruktion refers to the design and manufacturing process of medical stents. Stents are small, expandable mesh tubes typically made of metal alloys like stainless steel or nitinol, though other materials are also used. The primary purpose of a stent is to prop open a narrowed or blocked passageway in the body, most commonly in blood vessels.

The construction of a stent involves several key steps. Firstly, the material is selected based on its biocompatibility, flexibility, and radial strength.
