Slutrapportering

Slutrapportering is the final report submitted at the end of a project or program to summarize activities, outputs, results, and finances for the funder or sponsoring organization. The purpose is to document what was accomplished relative to the stated objectives, assess the outcomes, and provide accountability for use of resources. The term is used in Swedish and Norwegian contexts and is common in research projects, public-sector programs, and NGO initiatives.

Contents of a slutrapport typically include an executive summary, project objectives, methodology, activities carried out, results and outputs, dissemination of findings, and an assessment of impact or uptake. A financial section compares budgeted and actual expenditures, and the report may note deviations from the plan, risks faced, and mitigation measures. Depending on requirements, documentation such as data management, ethical considerations, and appendices with deliverables or evaluation reports may be included.

Process and governance: slutrapportering is usually mandated by funding bodies, universities, or public authorities. It is often submitted via an online portal and may be subject to review or audit. Beyond compliance, the final report serves as a basis for learning and future planning, informing funders, partners, and policymakers about results and next steps.
