Skylagring

Skylagring, or cloud storage, is a model for storing digital data on remote servers accessible over the internet. Data is hosted in data centers operated by third-party providers and is typically replicated across multiple servers and locations to improve durability and availability.

Access is provided through web interfaces and application programming interfaces. Storage can be implemented as object storage, file storage, or block storage. Object storage uses discrete objects with metadata; file storage presents a hierarchical filesystem; block storage provides raw volumes for servers or applications. Data is generally encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, with authentication, authorization, and auditing to control access.
