Skovbrugsmetoder refer to the various practices and techniques employed in the management and utilization of forests. These methods are designed to ensure the sustainable production of timber, non-timber forest products, and the preservation of forest ecosystems. The choice of method often depends on the specific goals of forest management, such as maximizing timber yield, promoting biodiversity, or providing recreational opportunities.

One common approach is clearcutting, where all trees in a designated area are harvested. This method can be efficient for timber production but can have significant ecological impacts. Selective logging, on the other hand, involves harvesting only certain trees, typically those that are mature or diseased, leaving the rest of the forest intact. This method generally preserves more of the forest's structure and biodiversity.
