Sisemised

Sisemised is an Estonian term used to describe inner or internal aspects of a person, group, or system. It functions mainly as an adjective meaning internal or inward, and the form sisemised is often used as a noun to refer to internal elements or processes, for example sisemised normid or sisemised hoiakud.

In academic and professional contexts, sisemised commonly appears in sociology, psychology, and education to denote attitudes, values, motivations, or norms that have been internalized by individuals or communities. This sense is closely related to the process of internaliseerimine (internalization), which describes how external expectations become part of a person’s private beliefs and self-concept.
