Sillatõstukid

Sillatõstukid, also known as bridge cranes or overhead cranes, are a type of industrial crane that operates on a runway. They are characterized by a horizontal beam, known as a bridge, that spans between two elevated runways. A hoist mechanism is mounted on the bridge and travels along its length. This allows the crane to lift and move heavy loads across a rectangular area defined by the runways.

Sillatõstukid are commonly found in manufacturing plants, warehouses, shipyards, and construction sites. They are essential for tasks involving the lifting and precise positioning of heavy materials, equipment, and components. Their ability to cover a large workspace from a fixed overhead position makes them highly efficient for repetitive lifting operations.

There are several types of sillatõstukid, including single girder and double girder configurations. Single girder cranes are simpler and less expensive, suitable for lighter loads. Double girder cranes are more robust, offering higher lifting capacities and greater stability for heavier applications. They can be powered by electricity or manually operated. Control is typically achieved through a pendant station, radio remote control, or a crane cabin.
