Semiarctic
Semi-arctic refers to a transitional climatic zone located between the arctic and subarctic regions. This zone is characterized by cold temperatures and a short growing season, but experiences warmer summers and less extreme cold than the true arctic. The vegetation in semi-arctic areas typically consists of tundra, mosses, lichens, and some dwarf shrubs. Animal life is also adapted to the harsh conditions, including various migratory birds, small mammals, and larger herbivores like reindeer or caribou.
Geographically, semi-arctic regions are often found at higher latitudes or at higher elevations within continental interiors.
