Selfreactiveness

Selfreactiveness refers to the ability of a system or agent to respond to its own internal states or outputs. Instead of solely reacting to external stimuli, a selfreactive system can monitor its own processes, data, or performance metrics and adjust its behavior accordingly. This internal feedback loop allows for a degree of autonomy and adaptation.

In computational systems, selfreactiveness can manifest in various ways. For example, a program might monitor its memory usage and, if it exceeds a certain threshold, initiate a garbage collection process or reduce its resource consumption. A learning algorithm might analyze its own prediction errors and modify its internal parameters to improve future accuracy. In robotics, a robot might detect that its movement is not achieving the desired outcome and adjust its motor commands based on sensor readings of its own position and velocity.

The concept is closely related to self-regulation and feedback control. However, selfreactiveness emphasizes the internal origin of the stimulus for reaction. It is a key component in building more intelligent, robust, and adaptable systems that can operate effectively in dynamic or unpredictable environments.
