Self-fulfillment refers to the experience of fulfilling one's potential and obtaining satisfaction and meaning through personal growth, purposeful activity, and alignment with core values. Practices such as reflective goal setting, learning, mindful awareness, and nurturing meaningful relationships are commonly associated with progress toward fulfillment. It is often pursued across domains including work, relationships, and creative or spiritual life.

Cultural context shapes what counts as fulfillment; some cultures emphasize achievement and status, others foreground relationships, community, or service. Critics caution that an excessive focus on personal fulfillment can reinforce individualism or neglect social responsibilities if pursued without social awareness or balance.
