ScreenPad

ScreenPad is a touchpad technology developed by ASUS, a Taiwanese electronics company. The technology is designed to integrate a secondary touchscreen display into the laptop's keyboard tray, aiming to provide users with a more versatile and productive computing experience.

The ScreenPad display is usually a 5.65-inch touchscreen panel, featuring a high-resolution 1080p or 1920x1080 pixel display. It can be detached from the keyboard and used as a standalone tablet, while it also provides a convenient way to interact with on-screen apps, notifications, and menus on the laptop.

ScreenPad technology relies on the ASUS proprietary software to enable the touchpad, gesture recognition, and touch controls. Users can customize the touchpad's settings, such as switcherooing settings, keyboard shortcuts, or gestures to fit their preferences.

ASUS integrated ScreenPad on several of its ZenBook line laptops, mostly designed for business or productivity purposes. The integration was a step towards transforming a traditional laptop keyboard into an all-in-one input system, eliminating the need for users to carry a separate tablet or mobile device.

The ScreenPad technology has its advantages, including a supplementary display and conveniently available touchscreen interaction for performing tasks, communicating, or consuming media.
