Samengepast
Samengepast is a Dutch adjective and past participle that literally means “combined” or “joined together.” The word is formed from samen (“together”) and gepast (past of pasten, meaning “to sew, fit, or laminate”). As a descriptive term it is used to denote objects, spaces, or materials that have been physically or conceptually fused into a single unit. In architectural contexts samengepast describes building elements that have been integrated, such as a hallway that has been joined to a living area to create an open‑plan layout. In culinary writing it can refer to a dish in which ingredients are blended so thoroughly that they lose distinct individual identities.
