SRTMpõhised (pronounced "es-are-tee-em poh-ee-seh") refers to a category of topographic maps and digital elevation models primarily based on data derived from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM). The SRTM was a collaborative project between NASA and the German and Italian space agencies, conducted in 2000, which collected high-resolution elevation data for a significant portion of the Earth's land surface. This mission provided a global digital elevation model with a spatial resolution of approximately 30 meters, which has become a foundational resource for cartography, geospatial analysis, and environmental studies.
